First Visit
At Painless Dental your experience with us is important to all the members of our friendly team, who will always endeavour to treat you with respect, delivering quality results in a comfortable and efficient manner. With a belief in keeping you informed we have briefly outlined a little of what you can expect on your first visit with Painless Dental.
Upon your arrival at our practice you will be greeted by a member of our team, who will offer you a drink and request you fill in a New Patient Form (if you haven’t already done so online – click here for the online version). They will also be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about your first visit. In the event that you arrive early to your appointment, our comfortable practice is equipped with plenty of entertainment material to keep you and your family amused while you wait. You will then be escorted into one of our modern surgeries where you will be introduced to your experienced dentist who will perform a comprehensive dental assessment, taking around 90 minutes. This will include,
- Full Comprehensive Examination,
- Professional Clean and Polish
- Diagnostic X-Rays (if required)
- Fluoride Treatment
- Digital Imaging
- Guided Tour of Your Mouth
Your dentist will then discuss with you any potential problem areas, providing you with all the necessary information and their professional opinion, so you can make an informed decision regarding your oral health.
Your Medical and Dental History
As a new patient to our practice we have a lot to catch up on. For this reason we will request that you complete a medical and dental health form, detailing your medical and dental history. For your convenience we have made this form available online to complete, where the answers will be immediately sent back to our practice. It is also available for you as a PDF which you can download, print and fax back or bring it to your appointment.
Any information provided to our practice will be held in strict confidence and only used by our experienced team to facilitate in provide comprehensive, quality dental and personal care.

At Painless Dental we proudly accept health funds. If you are a member of one, simply bring your plastic swipe card to your next appointment and with our HICAPS machine we can process your requests in just a few minutes. Then all that’s left for you to pay is the difference.

For any payment that you are required to make at Painless Dental, we accept cash, credit cards, cheques and EFTPOS.
